NOTES:
1 of 12 FILMS on the Independent Exposure 2006 – Halloweird Edition DVD Collection.
An assorted collection of weird, creepy, gross, odd and strange shorts made by moving image artists from around the world. From popping out eyeballs in “Pretty Kitty” to bizarre animations from Italy, the Netherlands and the United States to a documentary about an architect who uses insects as a source of inspiration when designing homes, this program is sure to entertain fans of horror and the bizarre alike.
In creating Clock Paint Eyeball, I wanted to get at the heart of two different structuralist film elements that I had yet to fully explore in a video art work: image repetition and editing in sequences based on mathematics.
This project was photographed in-studio on September 9th, 2005 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was completed on Thursday, January 5th, 2006 at Picture Box Productions with colorist/designer Mike Nicholson.
